Are you content with your four doors, practical family car? Most of us know we will never own anything more exotic than a mini-van. So what is the point of even thinking about the ever allusive exotic car? Well, because it’s fun, that’s why.
So what’s out there, available only for the select few?
Remember the Bionic Man and Woman? Well, how about a bionic car? That’s exactly what DaimlerChrysler has up its sleeve. They have been studying and putting to use some benefits from the aerodynamic boxfish.
What they have come up with is a car that exhibits outstanding stability and strength coupled with awesome speed, up to 118 miles per hour, and boasts an incredible 70 miles per gallon fuel efficiency. The car even looks like a boxfish.
Porsche, on the other hand is sticking its chest out in pride over its new $2.2 million dollar Gemballa. This baby sports a turbo V-10 engine and is capable of 0 to 60 in slightly over three seconds! Its top speed is recorded at 250 miles per hour. Who needs airplanes?
Not to be overlooked is the Caparo T1 Concept Sports Car. If this little jewel catches your eye you should be able to purchase it as early as 2007. When you are waiting at a red light, and the light turns green you will proudly lead the way to the next stop, since you will achieve 0 to 60 in two and a half seconds and the Caparo T1 is capable of 200 miles per hour!
Can I hitch a ride to the mall?
My favorite is the Swiss made ZaZen. It has a see through roof, covered with a high gloss made of millions of Swarovski crystals. (Oooh, sparkly) Not only is this lovely to behold, the coating is self-healing! Exotic? You got it.
Whatever will they think of next?
